About Meyerton Scuba Diving Club
Your gateway to the underwater world in the Vaal Triangle.
Our Story
Registered as a CMAS training facility in October 1992, Meyerton Scuba Diving Club was founded by Jan and Gillian Vorster and has been active ever since. Situated in Meyerton, we are the link between Johannesburg and the rest of the Vaal Triangle, conveniently located closest to the well-known Bass Lake.
We specialize in dive outings, both local and abroad. However, our adventurous spirit often leads us to embark on other activities such as sky-diving, paintball, gliding, paragliding, and other adventures required by our members.
When doing qualification dives, all members are welcome to join us. We host events like the "Polar Bear Weekend" in the middle of winter, regular sea outings, and we organize overseas trips occasionally or on demand.

Uncompromising Safety
We adhere to the strictest CMAS safety standards. Every dive is planned with precision, and our equipment is meticulously maintained. We believe that a safe diver is a confident diver, and that confidence starts with rigorous training and preparation.
A Vibrant Community
More than just a club, we are a family of adventurers. From social braais and weekend getaways to helping each other with gear and advice, the Meyerton Scuba spirit is about camaraderie. Everyone is welcome, from complete beginners to seasoned pros.

Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques
Founded in January 1959 in Monaco, CMAS (World Underwater Federation) is the oldest international diving federation. It was established to gather all underwater disciplines under one roof, with the legendary Jacques-Yves Cousteau serving as its founding President.
As a CMAS training facility, Meyerton Scuba offers certifications that are recognized and respected worldwide. We uphold the rigorous standards set by this historic organization, ensuring you receive the highest quality of underwater education.
